Clean Effects of Electronic Air Filters

Electronic air cleaners, sometimes called electrostatic precipitators, are a high-tech form of air filtration, trapping dust, pollen, and bacteria that your HVAC system blows through to heat and cool your home.

But what about the air that comes through open windows and doors, and the pollutants that you and your family bring in every day? You have many sources of air and polluting particles in your home. You want to protect yourself and your loved ones from the health hazards these create.

Air Authority understands this air quality problem and has a solution. Our electronic air cleaners are top of the line and clean over 99% of the pollutants out of the air they treat. Combined with cleaning and maintaining your HVAC system, and cleaning your filters regularly, these electronic air cleaners can help keep your air clean and your family healthy.

How Electronic Air Cleaners Work

  • Electronic air cleaners work by pulling air through them and giving particles in the air a positive electric charge.
  • This creates static electricity that helps trap even the tiniest of particles in the cleaner before recirculating clean air into the house.
  • This method allows the unit to operate efficiently and uses very little electricity.
  • You can save on your electric bills even as you clean the air in your home.

Air Authority installers can set up these cleaners to work in your entire home, keeping air flowing through the unit and you protected from allergens, mold, and bacteria.

An Air Authority expert technician will work with you to select the right filtration unit for your house, and install it where it works best.

Let’s Explain HVAC Repair

Electronic air cleaners work by pulling air through them and giving particles in the air a positive electric charge. This creates static electricity that traps even the tiniest of particles in the cleaner. The cleaner then recirculates clean air into the house. This method allows the unit to operate efficiently and uses very little electricity (24 Volts), allowing you to save on your electric bills even as you clean the air in your home.

If your air cleaner is not working efficiently or has stopped working entirely, you don’t want to try to fix it yourself. Our expert technicians will inspect and repair your unit. FAQ's

An EAC improves the indoor air quality as well as the performance of your system. Many people are now investing in EACs to treat the air in their homes and minimize pollutants. Other filter systems will not easily stop bacteria, mold spores, smoke and carinogenic particles, but these are removed effecitively by the polarization technology of the EAC.

The pre-filter traps most of the larger particles when air goes through an EAC. The smaller particles that are not trapped in the pre-filter are then trapped by it charging them positive then pulled by negatively-charged plates. When installed into your HVAC system, an EAC traps and filters up to 99 percent of airborne particles!

An EAC is easier to maintain as it can be washed by hand using soap and water. Additionally, the components can conveniently be cleaned in your dishwasher. Electronic air cleaners only require cleaning twice a year.
